The Sunday School & Discipleship Ministries International (SDMI) Superintendent administers the Sunday School and Discipleship classes within our church.
Mike has been married to the love of his life and best friend, Lisa for 27 years. They have two children James 25 and Hannah 21 . His family spends a great deal of time together. Mike and Lisa love attending and supporting James and Hannah as they participate in various extra-curricular activities. He grew up in West Texas and has lived in the DFW metroplex since 1997.
Mike has several years of experience teaching and preaching primarily in local churches. He is an ordained chaplain and the founder of and lead apologist for In The Dock Apologetics Ministry. Additionally, he has several years of experience teaching and serving in various leadership positions in local churches. He has also taught and conducted job-related training in secular environments. Mike is an adjunct professor at Oklahoma Wesleyan University where he teaches Bible, theology and worldview and apologetics. He is also an adjunct instructor of philosophy and religion at Texas Wesleyan University where he teaches Old Testament.
In addition to serving as Pursuit’s Sunday School Superintendent, he serves on Pursuit’s church board and leads the Wednesday youth worldview and apologetics class as well as Pursuit’s Sunday evening Bible, theology, and apologetics study. He is currently pursuing his Doctor of Ministry in apologetics at Southern Evangelical Seminary. In his spare time, he likes spending time with his family, reading, studying and teaching theology and apologetics, and following politics and sports.
