meet pastor Gobran George
Senior Pastor of Pursuit Fellowship Church
Pastor Gobran George was born in Egypt on July 25, 1969. He accepted Jesus as his Savior at the age of 14, and then he grew in faith. He preached for the first time when he was 15 years old.
He married Gehan Fakhry ( Ms. Gigi ) on July 25, 1995. They have been blessed with two daughters, Jolian and Ann. They are a senior and a freshman, respectively at Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, OK.
Pastor George and his family came to the United States in 2010, where they attended and served in the Arabic Nazarene Church in Euless, TX until accepting the call to become Senior Pastor at Pursuit Fellowship Church on August 31, 2019. He became a district licensed minister in the Church of the Nazarene in 2016.
After graduating from college in 1990, he worked as ESL teacher until 2010. He worked as a Special Education teacher in Bowie High School, and then in Arlington ISD. In January 2019, he was honored as “high school teacher of the month” in this very large school district.
Pastor George’s ministry has extended into Arabic language evangelism videos,
“A Thought and a Song,” which continue to go out regularly via Facebook and YouTube. Some are now also translated into English. His videos have been viewed by over a million viewers in 2 years .
